MENGENAL ALFABET DAN ANGKA DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS

        Mempelajari sebuah bahasa harus dimulai dengan mengenal alfabet bahasa tersebut. Bahasa Inggris 

dituliskan dalam bahasa Latin sehingga alfabetnya sama dengan alfabet bahasa lain yang juga dituliskan dalam

 bahasa Latin, termasuk Bahasa Indonesia. Sebagai pelajaran yang paling pertama dan paling dasar anda harus mengetahui cara pelafalan (pronunciation) alfabet bahasa Inggris.

 

Alfabet bahasa Inggris memiliki 26 huruf. Dalam urutan alfabetis, huruf-huruf itu adalah:

Lima huruf diantaranya adalah huruf vokal (vowel) dan 21 adalah konsonan (consonant)

Setiap huruf bisa dituliskan sebagai “huruf besar” (capital) atau huruf kecil (small letters).

€200 – two hundred euros (karena angka dua adalah jamak, kalau angka satu tidak perlu pakai kata “s“)
Selain bilangan diatas, ada bilangan yang menyatakan tingkat, misal first, second, dll. Kalau dalam bahasa Indonesia, menggunakan kata “ke”, misal: kesatu, kedua, dst. Silahkan lihat table berikut untuk lebih jelasnya:
